About Des

Hello, I'm Desirèe, but you can call me Des. I am a psychotherapist serving Colorado, and my path to becoming a therapist was anything but traditional. My origin story begins in a trailer park in Texas, weaving through experiences of being homeschooled, working a corporate job, living through interpersonal violence, navigating estrangement, receiving spiritual guidance from a shaman, making a few moves across the country, and eventually finding my way to graduate school and now private practice.

I share this because I want you to know I am someone who has experienced a wide range of emotions and life experiences. I am also someone who has struggled with perfectionism myself, hence my interest in specializing in it (kinda perfectionistic, I know).

I encourage clients to show up as their true selves during therapy. Sometimes it takes a while to get there, and that's okay—you're worth the time. I deeply know how challenging it can be to ask for help, especially when you think you "should" be able to figure it out on your own. We were never meant to go at these things alone, and I'm hoping you're starting to let yourself believe that too.

I'm currently accepting new clients. I offer therapy for residents of Colorado, and individual coaching is available if you are out of state.

Feel free to reach out today to take the first step.
